Elite Shungite D

This is a hand crafted necklace with a copper wrapped piece of Elite Shungite at 27g.

Shungite is a black/silver, non-crystalline mineraloid with up to 98 weight percent of carbon. Sourced from a deposit near Shunga village in Karelia, Russia.

Shungite has become increasingly popular due to its healing and protection properties which include: vitality and immune system boosting, emotional and mental stability, protection from harmful Electro Magnetic Frequencies (EMFs), detoxification and purification of the body.

It is the only known natural mineral to contain fullerenes (a crystalline form of carbon) protecting against cell damage caused by free radicals. Shungite contains unique energy levels a high value of electron affinity energy and low thermal conductivity.

Raw Elite/Noble Shungite or Type I is the purest and most rare form of Shungite containing up to 98 percent carbon. It accounts for only 1 percent of all Shungite found.

Types II and III contain between 30 to 50 and 50 to 90 percent carbon respectively.

Please note: With exposure to air, moisture and oil, copper will oxidise over time. This results in a loss of lustre. To restore the appearance, soak in a vinegar/lemon and salt solution for up to 20 minutes, rinse and dry.
