The outpouring of information in this Aquarian age has been documented for aeons. The information will require you elevate your mindset to keep up with changes occurring in the spiritual realm and later physical realms or risk being left in behind in the (dark) ignorance. There are forces that exist to suppress the ancient knowledge (light) for "we battle principalities in high places" but the change is occurring now. Meditate for your spirit, study for your mental development and take care of your temple/body to raise your vibration. 

There are different interpretations of the term 'religion'. Some translations will indicate the verb 'to bind over and over again' and others 'reverence for the gods'. In this context we will join the two to denote a 'repeated practice of worshipping'. The oldest 'religion' was the reverence of the natural forces that controlled the universe - the study of Cosmology. It's no secret that religious beliefs can be the cause of much division in the world, in the sense every religion claims exclusivity to 'God'. This practice is man made.
